What is a program graduate?A young person (ages 10 to 24) who completes at least 75% of the hours of an approved program.

How will our organization be able to access some of the grant funds?Partnering Organizations will get paid based upon the roles they play and the number of program graduates they provide, at the rate of $10/graduate for hosting a class, $10/graduate for recruiting/referring participants and $20/graduate for providing the trained class facilitator.

If the grant is awarded, will we have to fill out another MOA?Yes, a more detailed MOA will be developed and sent out if the project is funded.

How accurate do we need to be with "Youth Served" when submitting an MOA?For the MOA Youth access numbers (line one) please put down the total number of youth in those age ranges you serve each year within your organization. On the second line, please use your best estimate on how many students you believe might participate in the program. On the third line, please estimate how many parents/caregivers to youth between 10-24 in one year.

How binding is this MOA I am signing for our company/church/group?Not at all. This is a non-binding indication that if we were awarded this grant, you would consider partnering with us. You would not be committed at all to partnering, but your show of support will greatly aid us in securing this 5 year grant.

Can the MOA be canceled?The agreement may be canceled at any time by either party for any reason with 10 days written notice.

Why are you wanting us to provide an estimated # of parents/caregivers?Parents/Caregivers will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of adult programming as well throughout the grant period. This gives us a better idea how many individuals might be interested.

What is the timeline for program and class development with our team?First courses can begin no earlier than January of 2024 and will continue through June of 2028.

When will we be notified of the status of the grant?July 1, 2023

What expectation is there that we will recruit a certain number of youth into the program?There are no expectations. Please serve how ever many you want to serve.

What is the overarching goal of this grant and program?The goal is to allow us to serve local youth AND their parents by giving them the opportunity to experience multiple proven “evidence-based programs” that teach about healthy relationships, and everybody involved will have the opportunity to help choose and implement these programs.

What is considered adequate space?Enough space to give each student an appropriate space to work comfortably with ample room to move around. Should be close to washroom facilities.

How will we support the collection of measurement data?You and your team would assist us in the collection of attendance sign-in sheets and student feedback forms to monitor progress towards approved project goals and objectives and inform continuous quality improvement.

How active can our staff be in the process, leadership and oversight of the grant/programs?Each Collaborative Partner is encouraged to participate as actively as they would like to.

Why is this program important for our community?The Youth are our future. This grant will give our Bay County Youth their best opportunity to succeed in their relationships and in their lives.

How many students and parents will my company/church/group be required to have in attendance at the class?There are no minimum requirements.

Can our staff members teach the classes?Yes, Collaborative Partner Organizational staff members can facilitate classes if they have been trained in the curriculum and have completed specific background checks.
